Groupnic is a free service for communication and cloud storage for cooperative and private groups.
The project in beta version was launched with few resources and without any advertising in October 2011. Nowadays and thanks to the continuous product improvement. We have thousands of different groups in many countries all over the world.
In its first month, they got more than 2,500 users who started creating their own small private groups for SMEs, freelancers, universities, schools, associations, clubs, families, friends...
Privacy and clearness
Groupnic is not a social network since it does not have a system of contacts and an internal search engine users or groups. Groupnic is an exclusive tool to each group of people who have a common goal.
In just two easy steps, everyone can create a group. Users access, create their own groups, invite their members and communicate within the group folder and share all type of files in the cloud in an easy and private way. None of the contents are published outside by Groupnic.
Many companies, SMEs, freelancers and entrepreneurs already use Groupnic as their internal tool for communicating with their group members, and its messaging service is faster, easier and safer than a conventional e-mail.
Besides the common area they have to store files in the cloud makes cooperative work and access to all company or office documents from anywhere the world easier.
Nevertheless, companies are not the only ones that have seen Groupnic as the ideal tool for working at a distance.
Within the educational field, many groups of schools and universities have been created, there students can share notes and knowledge, and even in other levels such as nursery schools teachers can communicate with children's parents and share records, events, photos... in real time.
Neighbourhood associations, researchers, clubs, families and friends have also seen Groupnic as their private space for communicating and exchanging documents.
Cloud space and personalized applications.
The free version of Groupnic allows users to create multiple groups. Each group includes a cloud application disk (from free 2 GB up to 10 GB) in order to upload all type of files, a messaging service, chat and a photo viewer.

All groups have an area called +groupnic, a place where new applications allow users to customize their groups (calendars, bookmarks, videos, surveys, agendas...) will be launched.
Universal
Today, Groupnic is available in three languages (Spanish, Catalan and English) but it will be translated into other languages very soon.
Shortly, they will launch a mobile application (APP) for iPhone, iPad, Android devices...
